Gardening in four steps

Gardening in four steps

Quarantine has given us a lot of time on our hands. Now although most of us love binge watching TV shows, sometimes we need a break. Why better way to spend your time than creating your very own garden? Now hear me out - it’s a lot more fun than it sounds and it doesn’t even have to be that big! Gardening is a great way to pass the time all while eventually getting the reward! Spending some time in the sun will give you the vitamin D your body must crave after an entire day of being cooped up inside. Gardening is a great way to relax and it comes with so many health benefits.

But don't just take our word for it, check this out: https://healthtalk.unchealthcare.org/health-benefits-of-gardening/

When it comes to starting your garden all you will really need is to

1. Figure out a layout - where exactly do you want to have the garden and how big do you want it to be? Some of you may not have the space to ( if you live in an apartment) however, have you ever heard of Rooftop Gardening? The name explains exactly what it is!

Here's an article you can read on it: https://www.thespruce.com/rooftop-gardening-1403340

2. Gather your materials - usually you already have them laying around the house, but if you don't - while you make your weekly grocery trip make sure to pick some up! It'll be worth it, I promise.

3. Figure out what to plant! - a big BIG part about gardening is to figure out what you want to grow, whether it’s plants, flowers, fruits or veggies. The possibilities are ENDLESS!! Just make sure that it’ll be able to grow in the location that you’re in! To much sun or too much water can make or brake any garden, so make sure to check the climate and zones .

4. GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY- now that you completed steps 1-3 it’s time to start working on your garden! Best believe you will obtain extreme satisfaction when you see the life you’re creating!
